O’Hagan Meyer has extensive experience representing defendants and those that are targets and subjects of investigation before the U.S. Attorney’s Office (“USAO”) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”).  A number of our lawyers in this practice group are former federal prosecutors with both federal agencies who are now defense attorneys with the firm.  Indeed, the lawyers in this practice group defend against civil and criminal cases being investigated or being prosecuted by the federal government.  This defense practice routinely deals with all aspect of Grand Jury subpoenas, complex negotiations including proffers to USAO as well as SEC subpoenas, testimony before the commission, SEC Wells Notice presentation, agreed upon remedial undertakings, federal trial and related administrative proceedings. This practice group also specializes in the defense of FINRA enforcement actions and, regulatory actions brought by State Attorney General’s Office and other state agencies.
