What You’ll Do:
- Represent clients in court.
- Depose witnesses, including expert witnesses as appropriate for your level of experience.

- Defend challenging cases involving claims based on professional negligence, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, products liability, employment discrimination and harassment, breach of contract, general negligence and other tort claims.

What You’ll Need:
- 7-15 years of litigation experience.
- Bar admission in the State of Illinois. The Chicago office represents clients around the country but has its largest out-of-state presence in Indiana and Wisconsin. Bar admissions to either of those two states will be considered in hiring.
- Juris doctorate from ABA-accredited law school (GPA 3.2 or higher).
- Organizational skills to manage a varied caseload.
- Strong writing skills to communicate effectively to the court, client and opposing counsel.

- Associate Attorney (Hermosa Beach, CA)
O’Hagan Meyer is seeking an associate attorney to join the Hermosa Beach, California practice group. With a strong national presence and offices throughout the U.S. the firm offers our clients support in many different areas of law to include general litigation, professional liability, premises liability, financial/securities, and employment law. The ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience working in a general litigation firm.
This position would require, but is not limited to, legal research, drafting of pleadings motions and other documents, taking and defending depositions, drafting and answering discovery requests, trial preparation and trial assistance. Experience with both state and federal courts preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver strong work product is a must. This position also requires the ability to communicate with both clients and colleagues in an effective and timely manner. This position will require travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions. Admission to the state bar of California required.
