    Brian Weeks is a partner in the Portland and Seattle offices of O’Hagan Meyer who uses a breadth of in-house and law firm experience to help his clients obtain outstanding results.

    Brian represents employers in a wide range of labor & employment law matters, including disability accommodations, leaves of absence, discrimination and harassment, restrictive covenants, wage and hour, terminations, and grievance arbitrations. He assists employers’ efforts to comply with federal and state laws by advising on Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Defend Trade Secrets Act, and their Oregon and Washington State counterparts. He represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, the Washington State Human Rights Commission, and has broad experience litigating employment claims in federal and state court, including class and collection action matters. Brian also provides trainings to his clients’ management and staff on employment-related topics and conducts workplace investigations. Brian is known for his pragmatic and risk-based approach to solving employment disputes.

    Brian also has extensive experience handling employee benefit litigation matters under ERISA and state laws alleging failure to pay benefits, breaches of fiduciary duty and prohibited transactions, excessive fees, misrepresentation claims, and ERISA interference/retaliation matters. He has also represented clients and insurance carriers in audits and market conduct exams.

    Prior to joining O’Hagan Meyer, Brian worked in-house for a national provider of employee benefits managing the company’s enterprise litigation and labor & employment law compliance. He also led legal merger & acquisition activities, helped streamline the company’s review of contracts, oversaw data and privacy breach investigations, and prepared presentations to executives and directors. Brian uses his broad in-house experience to serve as outside general counsel to clients who have varied legal needs but are not currently in the position to hire their own in-house attorney.
