Benjamin A. Thompson is an Associate in the San Francisco office of O’Hagan Meyer. His practice is primarily dedicated to defending individuals and employers in employment controversies, as well as litigating general liability and complex matters.
Mr. Thompson began his career at one of the Big 4 Accounting firms where he earned his Certified Public Accounting license while completing financial audits of publicly traded companies, and then working in the Corporate Valuation Consulting practice valuing businesses. By doing so, Mr. Thompson demonstrated his ability to engage in complicated financial analysis at a professional level.
He was licensed to practice law in 2005, and the overwhelming majority of his career has been devoted to defending individuals, businesses and government entities in civil litigation. He has achieved a level of experience and comfort working on complicated legal controversies from pre-litigation through trial and appeals. While many cases resolve via mediation, when the matter calls for it Mr. Thompson has successfully secured summary judgment and defense verdicts on numerous lawsuits in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Thompson’s hobbies outside the office include spending time with his wife and twins, planning detailed itineraries for adventurous travel, photography, guitar, and enjoying San Francisco’s incredible restaurants.
