  • Professional Overview
    Vincent R. Fisher is a Partner in the San Francisco office of O’Hagan Meyer LLP. Mr. Fisher helps to lead the Class and Collective Action Practice Group in the San Francisco office, and he is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group.

    Mr. Fisher has deep experience defending employers in collective, class, and representative actions. He is considered a thought leader and a masterful litigator in the wage-and-hour litigation sphere. Mr. Fisher’s experience includes “bet the business” nationwide collective actions and class actions presenting novel legal issues of first impression. He has shaped and executed successful trial strategies in a variety of settings, including complex litigation featuring unionized workforces as well as sensitive litigation implicating national security. Mr. Fisher has represented clients across a broad range of industries, such as 3PL, automotive, banking, construction, education, healthcare, high-tech, manufacturing, quick-serve food, retail, transportation, and others.

    Prior to O’Hagan Meyer LLP, was a partner in one of the largest AmLaw Top 100 law firms, where he focused on wage-and-hour defense litigation. Before then, he was an attorney at a top-tier international law firm in London, England.

    During law school, Mr. Fisher was a visiting student at the T.M.C. Asser Institute in The Hague, The Netherlands, and then at Magdalen College, University of Oxford in Oxford, England. At Oxford, he received the highest distinction for his research regarding the legal immunities applicable to heads of state under public international law. Afterwards, Mr. Fisher interned with the legal team that secured a unanimous victory before the United States Supreme Court in Samantar v. Yousuf, 560 U.S. 305 (2010) (holding that an individual foreign official sued for conduct undertaken in his official capacity is not a “foreign state” entitled to immunity from suit under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act).

    Among his other awards and honors, Mr. Fisher won the Antitrust Prize as a law student.

    Mr. Fisher has also served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Jeffrey S. White of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in San Francisco, California.

    Beyond the law, Mr. Fisher enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons; training for ultramarathons; open-ocean swimming; weightlifting; as well as literature, philosophy, and mathematics. Prior to law school, Mr. Fisher served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a veteran of the Iraq campaign.
