- Professional Overview Ashtyne Cofer is an associate in O’Hagan Meyer’s Los Angeles office. As part of the firm’s Labor & Employment group, Ashtyne’s practice focuses on defending clients in litigation involving claims of workplace discrimination, harassment, failure to accommodate, retaliation, wrongful termination, representative actions under the Private Attorneys General Act, wage and hour claims, and various other civil claims at all stages of litigation. Ashtyne has extensive experience litigating complex tort and employment matters in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings across the county, representing clients on both the plaintiff and defense side. Prior to joining O’Hagan Meyer, she worked at a boutique plaintiff’s employment firm, where she gained years of valuable litigation and trial experience before transitioning to the defense side in 2025. With her dual experience, Ashtyne is adept at navigating the complexities of employment disputes, developing preemptive strategy, and bringing matters to a successful conclusion for her clients. As an Alabama native, Ashtyne earned her bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and her law degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law, both with honors. While at Cumberland, Ashtyne was recognized as the Scholar of Merit of her Constitutional Law and Real Estate Transaction classes and served as an Honor Court Justice. She was also a member of the Mediation Team and participated in the Student Bar Association.
