Jai Kim serves as Of Counsel in the Newport Beach office of O’Hagan Meyer and is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. With a wealth of business and legal knowledge, Jai is a seasoned professional adept at navigating complex legal matters.
Jai's career began in the accounting industry, where he gained a deep understanding of business operations. After obtaining his law license, he honed his expertise by representing domestic and international business clients in various areas, including corporate governance, business and real estate transactions, secured transactions, labor and employment disputes, and litigation. As a strategic advisor, Jai provides invaluable counsel to employers, helping them minimize risk exposures and achieve favorable outcomes in disputes.
In addition to his legal practice, Jai is a Judge Advocate with the California Army National Guard. He brings over a decade of military experience, having served as a Parachute Infantry Fire Team Leader with the 82nd Airborne Division and later as a Judge Advocate. In this role, he has advised general officers and senior executives on Operational and National Security issues, and also served as Chief of Administrative and Fiscal Law, overseeing legal matters across three countries in the Middle East. He is currently assigned as a Trial Defense Counsel.
Jai resides in Irvine with his wife and two young boys. The family enjoys running 5Ks, and they spend their leisure time playing basketball, swimming, and bodyboarding.
