    Mr. Sokolowski is a partner in the Los Angeles office of O’Hagan Meyer. His practice focuses on representing clients in wage and hour litigation and Labor Code compliance. This includes class action litigation and representative litigation under the Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act of 2004 (“PAGA) and Fair Labor Standards Act “(FLSA”).

    Over the course of his career, Mr. Sokolowski has represented clients regarding a variety of wage and hour issues, including: the correct classification of employees as exempt, non-exempt, and independent contractors; claims related to employee wages, including the proper calculation of overtime pay, sick pay, and compensation for off-the-clock work; an employer’s obligations to provide meal and rest periods under the California Labor Code; compliance with California’s wage statement requirements; and issues related to expense reimbursements.

    Mr. Sokolowski has been on trial teams for three wage and hour cases and has experience in all aspects and stages of litigation.

    In 1997, Mr. Sokolowski graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in History. After serving in the United States Army infantry for three years, Mr. Sokolowski attended Loyola Law School – Los Angeles and earned his J.D. in 2003.
