Tate C. Hughes is an associate attorney in the Denver office of O’Hagan Meyer. His practice centers around general liability and the defense of employers and businesses. Mr. Hughes handles all stages of litigation and pre-litigation, from the administrative phase to litigation and through trial and beyond. He ensures that his clients are well-informed at every step of the process. Mr. Hughes also advises clients on strategy, both during and aside from court cases.
Outside of employment law, Mr. Hughes also has experience in general liability, premises liability and tort litigation.
Mr. Hughes has litigated multiple jury trials and conducted numerous depositions. He also has experience defending clients on appeal after achieving victory at trial or through motion practice.
While attending the University of Kansas School of Law, Mr. Hughes served on the university’s Moot Court Council and competed in the NYC Bar National Moot Court Competition and the Hunton Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship.
In his spare time, Mr. Hughes enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and his dog Astro.
