Lea McBryde is an Associate in the Chicago Office of O’Hagan Meyer and a member of the firm’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. Lea acts as data breach counsel to companies in preventing and responding to data security incidents, network intrusions, data theft events, fraudulent funds transfer and theft, ransomware attacks, and inadvertent disclosure of data. Further, Lea represents companies in class action lawsuits in state and federal courts around the country in data breach, data privacy, and data tracking litigation.
Lea’s practice also includes representing entities in Healthcare Payer Dispute Claims and Managed Care Litigation. Along with a few other team members, she advises management companies for long-term care providers in “profits over people” litigation, as well as providers in medical billing and auditing matters. This also includes representation of providers, insurers, and third-party administrators in disputes involving reimbursement rates, underpayment and denial of claims, and alleged problematic contractual arrangements and payment guidelines.
Before joining O’Hagan Meyer, Lea worked as an associate at a civil litigation firm in North Carolina, handling a variety of complex data privacy cases in state and federal courts.
