Kerri Lutfey is a partner in the Los Angeles office of O’Hagan Meyer and a member of its Labor & Employment Practice. She has over 10 years of experience representing employers and managerial level employees in all aspects of employment-related matters. Shortly after her fifth year of practice in 2018, Ms. Lutfey was elevated to partner at an AmLaw 100 law firm. She has also been selected as a Rising Star by her peers.
Ms. Lutfey is admitted to practice in California and all federal district courts in the state. She devotes her practice to the defense of management side clients, both individuals and organizations, in individual and multi-plaintiff lawsuits involving workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. Ms. Lutfey vigorously advocates for her clients through all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation demand letters, matters pursued through government agencies like the EEOC, DFEH, and DLSE, mediation, arbitration, trial, and post-trial appeals. She also has extensive experience in providing strategic employment advice and counseling to clients, including policy drafting and training.
In 2019, Ms. Lutfey was second chair trial counsel in a high stakes case alleging sexual harassment, sexual assault, wrongful termination, and other related claims, for which a complete defense verdict was achieved. The defense verdict was upheld on appeal two years later.
Ms. Lutfey received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2012 where she was on Law Review and was the Chair of the school’s Moot Court Program. Prior to that, Ms. Lutfey graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where she received a B.A. in psychology while also competing for the University on its Division I gymnastics team all four years, co-captaining the team her senior year.
