  • Professional Overview
    Jennifer C. Vermillion concentrates her national practice on professional negligence defense, insurance disputes, and construction litigation. She is a skilled litigator who has successfully handled from cases prelitigation negotiations through trial and appeal on behalf of her clients.

    She has also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General on behalf of The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. Formerly, she practiced probate and fiduciary litigation, trust administration and litigation, and probate administration and litigation, and as an ad litem attorney in the Dallas County Probate and District Tax Courts.

    Jennifer has taught as an Affiliate Professor at the UNT Dallas College of Law and has collaborated with Lexis Nexis as an author/editor for the Dorsaneo Texas Litigation Guide. Jennifer also serves as a private arbitrator for FINRA's Dispute Resolution Services and has served as both a consulting and a testifying expert witness on Louisiana law in Texas probate litigation. While attending SMU, Jennifer completed an externship with the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division.
