Brian Martinez is a litigation associate in O’Hagan Meyer’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on representing large retail clients in the areas of premises liability and product liability in State and Federal Court.
Prior to joining O’Hagan Meyer, he was a litigation associate at a local insurance defense firm. Brian provided insurance defense services through all aspects of litigation, including the defense of injury claims arising from automobile, premises and construction-site incidents. Shortly after admission to the bar, Brian worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Themis Karnezis of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division.
Brian is admitted to practice in Illinois, Indiana, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Education and Admissions
Brian earned his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. While in law school, Brian externed for the Honorable John P. Kirby of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division. Brian obtained his 711 license during law school where he was able to gain trial experience as a law clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Brian was also a member of a moot court team that placed nationally.
Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
