Kimya Liaghat
Associate
- Professional Overview Kimya Liaghat is an associate attorney in O’Hagan Meyer’s Orange County office, where her practice focuses on labor and employment defense. She represents employers in a wide range of matters, including claims involving harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes. In addition to defending clients in litigation, Ms. Liaghat provides strategic counseling to help employers navigate complex workplace issues and mitigate risk. Ms. Liaghat brings a valuable perspective to her practice through her experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in employment disputes. This dual-sided background allows her to anticipate opposing arguments and develop practical strategies for resolving matters efficiently and favorably. Before shifting her practice to mainly labor and employment law, Ms. Liaghat practiced at an Am Law 100 firm, where she worked on healthcare, corporate, and mergers and acquisitions matters. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in complex transactional and regulatory matters, which enhances her ability to advise clients from a business-oriented perspective. Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Liaghat is actively engaged in the community and serves on the board of a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing legal services and fostering professional development through networking opportunities.
