Hillary B. Weinstein is an experienced litigator focusing on civil defense matters, including employment discrimination, catastrophic personal injury, commercial disputes, and class actions, Ms. Weinstein brings a distinctive perspective to her practice, having represented both plaintiffs and defendants across a wide range of civil matters.
Before joining O'Hagan Meyer, Ms. Weinstein co-founded a small law firm where she represented plaintiffs in consumer class action litigation, insurance bad faith cases, and in appeals. She has also provided legal counsel to nonprofit organizations and foundations. Earlier in her career, Ms. Weinstein practiced at a large international law firm, concentrating on complex commercial disputes and defending copyright infringement class actions.
Following law school, Ms. Weinstein completed a year-long fellowship through the Philadelphia Bar Association at the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Community Defender. During law school, she served as an extern with the prosecution team at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Netherlands. Most recently, Ms. Weinstein served on the Board of Directors of Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity (“PLSE”), an organization that provides assistance and education to indigent individuals seeking pardons and expungements of their criminal records.
When not at work, Ms. Weinstein enjoys spending time rooting for Philadelphia sports teams with her husband and two sons.
